People are always asking us how it works having chickens and cats in the same house, somehow incredulous that the cats don't eat the birds. Well believe me if you knew the birds you would know that the cats are half wary, half fascinated by them – but the last thing in the world they would want to do is mess with them. Vincent sometimes sits on the dining room table and stares at the birds for hours, not for dinner but for companionship. Maui often meows at the cats and calls for them to "come here!"
