Vincent officially has been diagnosed with lymphoma, he's is the hospital after a nasty episode on Sunday. We nearly lost him but he's stable now and is ready to start his chemo treatment tomorrow. We hope to have him back home in the next few days to live out the rest of his days (6 to 9 months or so?) with us and Jules at home. So if you don't hear from me, that is what's up. Cancer really sucks. If only Vincent could defeat it with his spooky x-ray eyes.
I am SO sorry to hear this. Your Vincent reminds me of my Tigger ...
He could always surprise you. My former boss had a cat with cancer that lived for almost two years after his treatment.
You're so right about cancer just sucking. We lost our first Yorkie to it. Unfortunately, by the time Scruffy (1986-1997) was diagnosed, there was nothing to be done.
I will pray for you and your furry baby for the best possible outcome.

thanks for the kind words Nicole. We're all hoping Vincent defies the statistics, he's always been a rule breaker!

It's all too familiar. My advice is to make it really good time together that's not focused on how sad you feel. To be very aware of your limits as well as Vincent's limits, to love and give, to make hard choices and learn from this, and most of all to release yourself from any sense of blame. Take care.
