It you would have told me, say, 10 years ago that I would be this freakin' excited for something like a fence installation I would have certainly said "yo, you crazy!?!" or something to that effect. It's amazing how domesticated I've become and how things like fences get me so pumped. The fence has special significance to us as it represents a big "F-U" to our crazy neighbor who likes to hang around his backyard when we are out there and harass us. There will be no more harassing with our shiny new and solid 6 foot fence, replacing a 4 foot, see through chain link one. This also represents the last sort of "clean slate" initiative that needs to take place before we can start landscaping. Speaking of landscaping, I have some potentially very excited news on that front as well—more info will be forthcoming.
Eric is supervising the fence install while I work (but I keep taking breaks and peaking cause I just can't help myself) so by the end of the day we should see some major changes. For a frame of reference, here is what the fence looked like this morning:
Right side and rear fence:
Left side, complete with overgrown weeds
Bonus pics – the cats supervise the fence materials delivery from the best seats in the house
