Tile Extravaganza! Poly-Urethane Preparation! And More of the Huge Stove!

Another super eventful day over here: the stove got all sorts of put together and can finally be viewed in all of its majesty. We will be taking those back cabinets a few inches off the wall to make them line up more flush with the side of the stove. That will also be nice because it will give us another 3-4 inches of counter depth, and counter space is at a premium.

Tim continued with the arduous task of putting up the little glass tile in the master bathroom. Yesterday he was upset with his progress and declared that if he were one of his own guys that he would fire himself for moving so slowly. But today he found the groove and really started motoring on the tile. And me, well I'm just giddy with tile related delight!

The guest bathroom tile also started getting installed, beginning with the floor and on the tub surround. Towards the end of the day they got the first piece of squiggly white line installed…oh! Squiggles!

Also, the rosin paper was lifted off the top floor and everything was cleaned and prepped for the poly-urethane coat that will most likely go down by the end of the day tomorrow. Then we'll have to leave it alone all weekend and hopefully be ready to start phase one of the big move downstairs, in which most of Eric's stuff is transported along with everything we don't need for the next few weeks. We can complete the move as soon as we have one functioning bathroom, a reasonable set up kitchen and a few doors installed. And that my friends, is not too far away anymore.

now you're just toying with me! Squiggly white lined tile...that is just too much! I love those. I didn't know those were part of the design...how frickin' cool!

The unveiling of the floor WITH painted walls...just about sent me over the edge.
